Desc: Following the old Fernley and Lassen branch line of the Southern Pacific Railroad, the trail winds 25.4 miles from the Susanville Railroad Depot to the Mason Station trailhead north of Westwood.

Most of the trail runs through the rugged Susan River Canyon with its beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and reminders of the railroad logging days of the past. Horseback riders, hikers, joggers, and mountain bicyclists use the trail. In snowy winter months, cross-country skiers and snowmobilers use the upper reaches.

Difficulty: Intermediate
Miles: .6 miles
Desc: This short trail is a moderate slope. There is only one rocky, steep section,which occurs near the top. The grade is about 20%,but it’s a short section,and the view is worth it.
Take Hintiytonlk rd west to Rd 8532 about a mile past the dam). Follow 8532 approximately 4 miles to the Black Point Trailhead.

Desc: This trail provides spectacular views of the Red Butte and surrounding mountains. Southern exposure near the ridge top, good views, rough country, lots of rock + brush.
Access from Hwy 96-12 miles North from Seiad Valley on road 48N20 to Cook and Green Trailhead, the 5.5 miles west on PCT.

Desc: The trail starts out at a gradual climb, becoming steeper as you reach Pine Flat. The trail affords magnificent views of the Kern River Valley during the trip. As the trail climbs to higher elevations, it gets into a mixed pine and fir forest. At Pine Flat the trail parallels the south side of Forest Service Road #24s12, and crosses Cannell Creek two different times before reaching Cannell Cabin, built between 1904 and 1909. The trail is considered moderate to strenuous in difficulty. It is very open and exposed and provides little shade.

One trailhead is at the Caples lake dam parking area on Hwy 88,4 miles west of Carson Pass. The trail can be accessed along Hwy 88 at Tragedy Springs, 3 miles west of Silver Lake

Desc: The Clear Creek NRT provides a North-South link through the center of the Siskiyou Wilderness. The trail starts at Youngs Valley to the north and follows along Clear Creek for 22 miles and provides access to great swimming and camping areas.
West of Happy Camp on Hwy 96 for 10 miles to Road 15 N. 32 to reach ten mile trailhead. Youngs Valley trailhead is accessed from Hwy 199 via Knopki Cr. Rd.
